WHAT ELSE: Unlock the symbolism of historic church interiors with Dr. Herringer at the GMH. Her upcoming talk details the Victorian Gothic revival in British Anglo-Catholic churches. Learn how new features--from raised altars to rood screens--were driven by changes in Eucharistic doctrine. The presentation will also feature local insights into the interior of St. John's church.
From the GMH Director: "We cannot understand nineteenth century architecture without studying churches. Our goal is to bridge that gap."
